Guest Podcast: The Garden of Grief

We never choose to lose someone we love. But when loss comes knocking on our door, the question is, how do we move through it? Can we feel every emotion, get up even when we feel knocked down, and find meaning inside tragedy?

In this podcast, Ariela is joined by Lara Miller, farmer, and entrepreneur, to explore her tragic loss of her husband at the age of 37, with 3 young children, and how she carries her husband’s fire and spirit after the greatest loss of her life.

In this podcast you will learn:

  • Lara’s powerful tool for grief and how she moved through grief to comfort her children and build her business.

  • How to carry your loved one’s fire and keep their spirit alive

  • Understanding the power and presence of our loved one’s spirit when our loved one is no longer physically here

  • Why finding meaning and purpose in our own lives is of utmost importance

  • How to make each day count and living in the present moment brings out the joy of every aspect of life.

  • How to let Mother Earth ground you when you feel unanchored and lost

  • Much more!

I met Lara through a network of businesswomen, and I knew I had to interview her in our podcast because she is warm, heart-centered, and has a true story of how to face tragedy and still find meaning, love, and purpose in life. She also happens to have an amazing organic farm, and grows her own hemp and medicinal products.

Lara Miller is a farmer and entrepreneur, having run a two-acre organic vegetable farm for the last 11 years. She also has a deep passion for herbal medicine and started North Field Farmacy, her Hemp CBD oil company, in 2017 after seeing the lack of top-quality products in the marketplace. She grows all of the hemp in her product line and she still farms vegetables because it feeds her soul so much she can’t help herself. Lara is enjoying the new empty-nest years of her life with her husband, Jim, now that her three amazing children are grown.
